ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership to the IS Core Services team;
Responsible for setting operational goals and metrics for the IS team across the four main disciplines of PMO, Enterprise Applications, Desktop Services and IS Core Services;
With the senior IS leadership team, regularly review capacity and resource management and continuously improve strategies and make both long term and tactical business decisions;
Prepare and own the annual IS budget (approx. $45M) with the CIO and undertake regular reviews of budget performance with the Finastra finance business partner;
Run the IS commercial team ensuring a lean set of processes across IS to enable efficient cashflow management;
Own the IS procurement process and work closely with allocated resources from the Finastra procurement team to ensure value for money solutions;
Be flexible and agile to meet future customer demands. Introduce new and innovative ways of managing the delivery of IS Core Services (including but not limited to utilization of collaboration platforms, new O365 services (e.g. Yammer, Teams), different network models, and innovative models for Enterprise IS service delivery including near-shore, off-shore and managed service agreements;
Managing and driving the manpower demand plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives and assist the business to achieve year on year improvements within its operating plan;
Take the lead role in supporting Finastra’s M&A activity and ensuring that project plans around acquisitions and divestments are realistic and deliver the company’s objectives;
Manage a team across multi sites spread globally, within a very fast-paced/time-critical and demanding environment. Typically a team will consist of workforce from a variety of sources permanent/temporary and contract labour and the role holder must set the appropriate expectations with his team on managing the workforce in an appropriate, engaging and pro-active manner
Create, lead, engage with and direct a workforce to drive enhanced performance through our people agenda. This will include at all levels of the business - safety of our people, employee engagement, performance leadership, talent & succession and training & development
Implements change and/or develop new processes as required to provide ability to better service Finastra business units and our employees, reduce cost to serve and improve contribution.
Set/clarify requirements and expectations for IS staff within the Core Services team
Working with key business partners and client side functions such as Finance, Procurement, HR, and GTO to deliver the operating plan and to secure required support and resources for projects and initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
The role holder should hold a degree or have equivalent qualification or workplace experience
· Goal driven, target orientated, able to step back and look at the bigger picture (helicopter view), the person will also be able to manage ambiguity with their sleeves rolled up, and possess a preparedness to get involved
· Demonstrate strong track record of team leadership within a large scale rapid and process driven environment – must have end to end process management experience (lean, six sigma) and ideally procurement or finance experience
· Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and very strong analytical skill capability as he/ she will be required to look at and find solutions for a variety of operations problems.
· Excellent communication skills (English written and verbally)
· High dependability – be there to manage department – and able to use initiative
· Must be flexible and able to manage a business that can operate 24/7 (including holidays) and commit the time required to get the job done.
· Demonstrate ability to manage, motivate, and influence work behaviours
A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in information technology and related services and management. Experience in the FinTech or Financial Services industry is a plus
A minimum of 6 years of leadership responsibility
Ideally you will have experience IT commercial management, PMO experience, and procurement experience
Ideally you will have experience of managing 3rd party contract resource arrangements on a large/national scale.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. A degree in Computer Science, Computer/Data Systems Management or a related field or discipline is preferred.
Ability to express or exchange information by means of oral and written communication.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. of weight (laptop, projector, suitcase, etc.).
Manual dexterity to input data into the computer.
- Extensive travel required.
- Work is performed in a general office environment.
